Swedish designer Anders Haal was always going to do rad things.
Having started in photography and video– how can you have a lookbook this good and not have some kind of background, and of course natural talent!– then made what he calls the natural progression into fashion.
Haal began working as first designer at another Swedish brand we pine over, Ann-Sofie Back, where he no doubt learnt to create achingly cool and one of a kind threads.
But the best part is he now has his own namesake label Haal (it's ok if you almost fainted while reading that, totally understandable).
The innovative capsule collection of swirling tie-dye, peace sign motifs, and some serious cool knits is the result of a line of ready to wear that melds surf vibes with hacker-worthy technology.
With the best 'surfer-dude' elements of tie die and quirky details incorporated with 'hacker' influences of Matrix like coats, sunnies and material choices, this collection is a big statement.
Anders Haal is proving he is ready and able to do his own thing, and indeed he is gonna get one BIG (and fashionable) following.
