Exploring the possibilities of print design and digital technology interaction, Brooklyn-based label Richards is proving to be quite the favourite amongst the cool crowd of New York. But it’s not just New York paving the way for the label.

Launched in 2012 with a SS 13 collection by Rhode Island School of Design graduate Sarah Leslie Richards, the debut collection proved intoxicating to those with a weakness for wicked green graphics. But couple these custom prints with a fresh approach to intelligent tailoring and an inherent textile respect and you’ve got a ridiculously fabulous brand with a side of diversity. And Richards’ AW 13 collection only solidifies her presence on the global market.

Streaked with the same whimsically organic/synthetic take on the natural environment seen in her SS 13 display, Richards’ relaxed tailoring and sculptural silhouettes laden with innovative motifs on luscious silks and natural cotton blends ooze with effortless chic. But alas, Richards is currently stocked only in the US (ahem, Australia), but if her time on the job with industry legends Diane von Furstenberg and Opening Ceremony are anything to go by, Richards will be a name on everyone’s lips, and in everyone’s wardrobes very soon.
