KYE SS15
Fashion designer Kathleen Kye has already made quite a large name for herself in menswear. Her label, simply titled KYE, is an innovative brand that pushes the boundaries in menswear and now, KYE has expanded and branched into women’s wear, making both sexes able to flaunt the kooky designs.
The Seoul-based label has just released it’s SS15 look book and it’s simplistic colours and innovative experimentation leaves you wanting everything featured in the collection; even if it is meant for the opposite sex.
The bewildering pairings of fabric weights and bold colours, make the new collection seem extremely innovative as well as textured. The white, navy, pale pink and royal blue colours tend to stand out a whole lot more when paired with the cotton, mesh and leather materials. Clean lazer cut outs leave certain pieces in a grungy area whilst the slim tailoring keeps things elegant and refined.
Sequins are used on some pieces, making a very bold statement when styled together and a staple pattern of a bumblebee appears on many blouses and jumpers, emphasizing the inspired season.
Each piece in the collection seems to have a unisex element to it whether it’s presented on a male or female model, making KYE a brand that has something to offer everyone.
