Barcelona designer Sara De Ubieta has been making shoe collections for the past few years and has mastered the art of creating comfortable and stylish footwear. Her collections are modern and eye-catching whilst also designed to be both comfortable and durable for lengthy amounts of time.

De Ubieta has created jewelry, handbags and hats as well as shoes for a variety of strong-themed projects, however her own designs are what has made her name so recognizable and her originality has made her one of the most exciting new shoe designers in Europe. Her latest collections are perfect examples of her forward thinking and keen eye for detail.

De Ubeita's SS14 collection, Epidermis, showcases footwear made from naturally coloured leather. The chunky heels featured on the sneakers, flat-forms and slippers keep the collection ahead of the fashion curve whilst the natural leather keeps the Spring/Summer collection connected to natural materials.

The AW14 collection is quite different to its predecessor, however the connection to modern trend is still apparent in the thicker soles. UNIO showcases shoes inspired by “last mutation of man through the use of technology and the internet”. It’s influences are clearly shown in the shoes by the use of velcro straps instead of laces and they white and grey colouring of the leather, shades many people associate with futuristic fashions.

Sara De Ubieta has a lot of fantastic work to her name already, but an artist must progress and she will most definitely progress upward from here on in.
