LONELY HEARTS 'NO PHOTOS'
The new collection (dropping August 2014) takes refined luxury to another level: the perfect draping of silks and soft cottons and dark blue tiedye create an unrivalled silhouette. The combination of German photographer Timm Rautert’s photographs of an Amish community in the 1970s, and the 1995 horror film Village of the Damned were the inspiration for this collection. The title ‘No Photos’ actually refers to the subjects of Rautert's work, who refused to have their faces included in photographs due to their strict religious beliefs. This is reflected in the use of slogans such as Beware The Eyes That Paralyze, which is combined with whimsical–yet slightly sinister–illustrations (by Lanarch) of faceless Amish women.
The collection features an underlying theme of strength and functionality, shown through the combination of both lightweight silk-viscose and ribbed cotton knitwear, playsuits and drawstring camisoles. 'No Photos ' makes you want to wear your hair in braids, and climb mountains. As always Lonely Hearts makes clothes that are instantly revitalizing, and 'No Photos' is no exception.
These are clothes you could have adventures in.
