Sasha Kurmaz is insane. The multidisciplinary artist from the Ukraine surveys the human body and investigates the private lives of individuals through an intense accumulation of incredible photography. I really have never seen anything quite like this. Browsing through the highly sexualised and patent imagery is somewhat emotionally overwhelming; Kurmaz explores the state line of love and feelings through the physical body and everything raw and sensual.

The intimate imagery doesn’t entirely seem staged, but there is an element of theatrics and (realistic) distance; they border between documentation and imagination, teetering the edges of intimacy and frivolity.

Kurmaz began by chronicling his life, capturing the intimate and honest processes that occur internally and externally. Though now, his approach to considered and articulate photography is extremely poetic; Kurmaz is a storyteller like no other. You do not see photographers like this everyday. He has removed himself from the boundaries of a 'boxed' artist. His aesthetic is undefined as his subject material and content is ambiguous and unparalleled.
