#fromwhereidratherbe is a popular hashtag on Instagram, usually added to overseas beach shots with cocktails and tourists in tow or to romantic sunrises and sunsets that’ve been ‘bettered’ (aka abused) by the application of seven different filters. Although I don’t use the hashtag publicly, I can say that after finding Parisian art director Jean-Baptiste Sinniger’s often romantic perspective photography online, I certainly would rather be in his world than my own.

Sinniger’s shots travel through the streets of New York, the suburbs of Paris and Stockholm’s countryside. His images make you feel warm inside. His settings are perfect, the mood mellow... it’s the type of pleasant photography that makes you want to pick up a camera, shoot whats around you, only to be disappointed because they don’t look like any of Sinniger’s surroundings. Again, #fromwhereidratherbe.
