UTOEPIA SOCKS
Exotic fruits, glow in the dark details, and nu-wave club kid vibes, so much for socks being a 'boring' gift.
Melbourne sock label Utoepia is the reason we want our stockings filled with socks, and in every colour way they have to offer.
Jona, the designer behind these fancy feet accessories, tells us the 'heritage' prints– Cracked Black and Dragonfruit– are a homage to the memphis movement and Ettore Sottsass his favourite designer.
The more recent colour ways however–Time Wave and Fizz–which are glow in the dark might we add, are part of a collaboration with LA streetwear label PRMTVO. The capsule collection is entitled Time Wave Zero after the techno-shaman Terence McKenna's novelty theory.
Jona's creative genius in this capsule collection was not limited to just adding steeze to the feet, he also created prints for the t-shirts that feature in the range.
To launch the sock prints, photographer Tuscany Grey and stylist Susan Seyhan were brought on board to put together a mind blowing still life shoot, and we have th exclusive images above,
We didn't think we could want these socks any more than we already did, but this shoot just nailed it.
Now socks and sandals really can be fashun, right?
