Sam Hofman is a photographer who can simply do anything. With a large portfolio under his belt, which you have no doubt already seen, Hofman has commissioned work for so many publications and agencies that he’s become one of the most sought out photographers in the industry.
Flipping through the pages of Wonderland Magazine, Wallpaper*, GQ and Hunger Magazine, you would have most definitely come across some of Hofman’s work without even realizing it. This of course shows you that his photographs tend to speak for themselves and let the story connected to them, slip into your mind through his sleek images.
Hofman has also shot a series of advertisements, which you may have also come across in your daily commute, but his personal work is probably what Hofman has become most recognized for as his take on still life has gotten everyone entranced.
Working with anything and everything, he has the ability to transform some of the most mundane of objects, such as a pinecone or a plastic fork, into visual sensation that captivates it’s viewers. Each piece has a story and Hofman seems to be able to express that story whilst creating visual art that blends the mundane with the experimentally artistic.
