RE-STORE
Re-Store is a contemporary vintage shop which was founded in 2012 by Franziska Greiner & Markus John. The duo explains they choose to focus on carefully selected garments from the past decades which come to life again and re-interprete their zeitgeist.
John is a German graphic designer. The main focus of his work is editorial design, visual identities, type design and photography all in the intersection of fashion, culture and art.
Greiner studied fashion and textile management and worked for several brands and PR studios in Berlin and Copenhagen.
Although offering a range of designer clothes is important at Re-Store, their focus on cut, fabrics and quality from "nondesigner“ with equivalent distinction is also just as important to them.
"We are convinced that you can find something beloved from our selection which would match into your current wardrobe seamlessly. We believe that each re-new garment becomes more beautiful and characteristic with time."
So where do they find these beauties?
"During one year we collected garments from various trips from Berlin or Copenhagen and now we are back with a beautiful selection of new garments."
For their FW 2014 campaign they teamed up with photographer Zara Pfeifer. Pfeifer is a creative based between Berlin and Vienna and studied Architecture at the TU Berlin and Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, where she graduated in 2013.
The photographs were taken in the streets of Vienna and shows the modernity of the duo's reinterpretation of contemporary vintage clothing.
