UCON ACROBATICS
Berlin-based fashion label Ucon Acrobatics recently debuted their FW14 collection that features a perfect colour balance. The label also collaborated with Haw-Lin Services, a creative studio offering creative direction, photography and graphic design on the imagery for the collection and man is it good.
Drawing inspiration from regular city life, where cultures collide and the little things make the biggest difference to everyone’s day-to-day routines, the FW collection creates casual street wear with elegance with a mash up of auburns, reds and navy blues.
Simple denim collars, patterned cotton pants and bright sleeves all make for an interestingly vibrant collection that embodies the city life. Greys with almost rocky-type textures have a strong resemblance to the pavement we walk on each day, whilst the vibrant pieces on light wool and quilted materials become essential for the colder months.
Light mustards resemble the colours we associate with autumn and it’s these small, and seemingly insignificant connections in Ucon Acrobatics collection, that seem to make it stand out. We associate the lookbook with its desired seasons almost instantly and can see how directly the city has contributed to each design.
The FW essentials we all desire have come in the most textured and unique packages of Ucon Acrobatics’ collection and although our winter months are coming to a close here in Australia, we may rest happily knowing that if need be, we can turn to the label for our winter warmers next year.
