VLF
I Like This Art.
Cristiani and Roux are artistic chameleons. Although predominantly print based, the team have branched into almost all visual art processes available; remodelling insanely cool found objects like foam machines, fluorescent tubes and cactuses (excuse me, cacti) into insanely cool sculptures whilst creating insanely cool videos and insanely cool collages. Seriously, they are incredible.
When interviews in The Meander Journal, the duo relayed their thoughts about the role of print media in todays internet-dominated world.
“Art has always been close to print, from the exhibition catalogue and poster, to the use of paper and writing in conceptual art. Print media is constantly evolving but we think there is still place for it as a permanent and definitive object, like a sculpture or a painting can be”.

On the outskirts of Paris resides creative pair Thomas Cristiani and Antoine Roux - founders of the art and design studio VLF. Established in 2008, the creative duo split their talent between graphic design work and conceptual art projects. Together, VLF has been published in VVORK, iGNANT and one of my favorite contemporary art blogs, Cristiani and Roux are artistic chameleons.
