Yes, another Central Saint Martins grad, we know, but it's not our fault their talent pool is so deep.
It's doubtful that CSM will ever cease to produce talented individuals, but the true defining point of this fashion school is that it harbours and develops such individual talents that no two designers will ever be the same.
Case in point, Tigran Avetisyan, noone could do what he does when it comes to reinventing "logomania" and branding collection after collection. The Russian menswear designer often draws on slogans to embellish his garments, all of which pay homage to the collections specific theme.
From previous that shouted through print "no jobs" and "nothing changes", referencing the hardship of design students and the work environment they enter, to his current SS 15 collection 'Duty Free' which addresses the dea of cross-promotion used by big fashion houses that produce clothing collections in order to drive sales of their perfumes.
Tigran even thought conversely and created his own fragrance “Duty Free Pour Homme” to promote his new SS15 collection.
Not only is this a visually enticing collection, but it is also one that’ll feel good and fresh: a range of uncomplicated yet full-of-character menswear pieces created using wonderfully light and delicate fabrics, for a raw overall feel.
