SHALLOWWW
The Madrid-based fashion label, powered by a collective of Spanish and Italian designers, (as their name suggests) recalls inspiration from the iconography of the internet, and all it’s symbolistic goods. Their designs translate internet language and semiology into textiles and patterns - you could say they’re one of the most relevant brands today, as they’re creating clothes based from our actions and experiences using the web. The know their clientele.
Shallowww’s SS/13 ‘Internet Souvenirs’ collection features marble textiles and water prints - a common styling and selection by contemporary graphic designers, although this time the prints are on the clothes and not behind it (lookbook). We have marble printed sweater and pant combos with crop tops and skirts swimming in a gorgeous aquamarine water print. Oh and like you’d expect from an internet-inspired brand, Shallowww’s clothing is solely distributed via the inter webs in online stores.
If you’re eyeing some pieces (and with prices like that, I am too), head over to their website - you won’t be disappointed. What’s not to love about quality clothing at inexpensive prices... oh, and mix tapes! I consider myself proud to be: Shallowww.
