Joelle Baten has a very artistic approach to her fashion design. The designer, who is based in the Netherlands, has a very unique idea about how her designs work with their textures. In her look book for her 'No Love Lost' collection, each piece has their very own identity that blends together fashion and visual art, making certain pieces look more like sculptures rather that just clothing.

Each texture shows a very different side to Baten’s work giving the look book versatility. Wool becomes the strongest texture as its pieces stand out amongst the collection in a bold way. The cotton and latex materials keep things quite simple; creating a balance that wouldn’t be there otherwise.

Experimental patterns that highlight the artistic influences of the look book, as do the clean cuts of the clothing and accessories. Each element has an important part to play and Baten’s designs seem to compliment each other and work together to create beautiful looks that are both minimalistic and eccentric.
