LILY STAN STUDIO
"I am a busy lady, but busy is good."

Lilly Stan Thor Harrisof Lily Stan Studio couldn't be a better example of a modern female powerhouse. The self-prescribed "one women show", Harris designs, drafts the patterns, and sews each garment available from her namesake label– even at the moment whilst recovering from a broken collarbone!

"I like to because it allows me to stay hands on and move on to new ideas once I am sold out of something," she says.

Despite the label taking on a fragment of Harris's name, she feels the title allows the brand to reflect less on her and more on the design.

She explains; "I decided to name it Lily Stan Studio because there is nothing fussy about that, it's my name...but I also liked that you can't tell if it is a boy or girl designing it or if it is one person designing it or two. It's less about me that way even though it is my name".

The collection is a small ongoing collection of staples for your closet, with Harris choosing not to release new garments according to the seasonal fashion calendar, but for important newness in your closet. Each garment is meant to be easy to wear & layer with one another interchangeably as a uniform to create a small, but extensive personal closet of specialty basics.

"I stick mainly to a neutral color palette because that is what I personally gravitate to. I started this line because I was tired of buying cheaper disposable apparel & I wanted to create a uniform for myself that could exist with the few things that I already owned and love and I hope that is what my customers do as well. "

With such lovely quality garments, design ethos and not to mentioned affordability it's hard to imagine Lily Stan Studio's customers doing anything but loving the collection. And with Harris's mentioning she would love to incorporate some machine knit pieces in the future, we can't wait to see what she can do!
