MOTHER OF PEARL RESORT '14
Since the birth of Mother of Pearl in 2010, Norman has focused on collaborating with artists to create textiles for each of their collections, which have previously blown my mind ever since I discovered the label. Emphasis on their sports luxe aesthetic, the artwork created for these collections portrays the perfect balance between the art & fashion world.
Not only have they created master pieces for each collection, Mother of Pearl have also broadened their horizons by indulging in 'special collaborations' with a spectacular list of designers such as; Polly Morgan, SHOWstudio, Garage Magazine, John Currin, Harrods and Other Criteria - just to name a few.
This time round, Mother of Pearl have worked in conjunction with London based artist duo Emma Biggs and Matthew Collings to draw on their previous artworks such as Commanded (2013) and relied on the geometric aesthetic and direct colour palette to create some damn fine prints.
So that's it for now, but we're holding onto our seats for the next instalment of Mother of Pearl. To see the full collection click here
