This young French photographer has some serious talent.
Recently graduated from Gobelins school (Paris), Margaux Roy has brought her talent with the lens to Australia and will doubt expand her beautiful folio whilst on our shores.
"I am currently traveling around Australia for one year. I'm interested in focusing on details or situations of everyday life. I don't think a lot when I'm taking these photos. I like to play with the color palette, the pattern, the form or the instant. It's a very spontaneous act."
"Thanks to the editing, the meaning comes later! It might be a way of taking photos representative of a kind of "Tumblr generation", i.e. images connected without narrative link."
It's pretty apparent Roy has a firm grasp on her style and understand her individual creative process and this in no doubt why her images may vary on content and context but they always are to have a similar thread woven through their aesthetic.
Her work is truly a celebration in capturing a moment.
