ANITA HIRLEKAR

It's not a coincidence we feature alot of Central Saint Martins' students and graduates, and a large part of this reigning talent is due to the unquestionably extensive and one of a kind teachings of the late Professor Louise Wilson.

Anita Hirlekar, a 2014 grad is one such lucky student who was able to benefit from, and flourish under Wilson's tutelage.

From her 2012 year collection that featured beautiful felt work across silk, velvet, lace, knit and polyester, Hirlekar has been creating garment wonders. Her MA collection was shown during the A/W 2014 collections at London Fashion Week and the collection even won her the Fashion Special Prize at the International Talent Support compeition (ITS).

Hirlekar's work throughout her collections has had a strong signature that focuses on hand crafts, texture and unusual fabrications. Her innovative creative style and design eye has also seen her featured at Vogue.co.uk, Style.com, Elle UK, Showstudio.com, i-D magazine and Anothermag.com.
