JINHEE MOON
Every year a large series of fashion graduates showcase their unique designs at their end of year fashion shows. At the London College Of Fashion, designer Jinhee Moon showcased a collection that was not only full of nostalgia, it also presented a unique view of bohemian fashion.
Moon has a series of talents that no doubt assisted her in creating this extravagant debut collection, and new label J Moon. Intricate and accurate cutting skills and a passion for blending various fabrics seem to be the driving force behind Moon's designs.
Throughout the collection, the eye darts between the frilled metallic, woolen and sheer fabrics that have been blended with cotton, to showcase a look that seems to pair the Renaissance era, with modern day bohemia. Crushed velvet and denim have been used as the base items for the more extravagant pieces to fall over, highlighting the innovative techniques used in creating those pieces.
There are no limitations to what a fashion designer can create and it seems Jinhee Moon has created something that has not only surpassed expectation, but also become wondrous exaggeration.
It is through the larger and more experimental items that we can see the true talents of Jinhee Moon and they are the talents that we will be watching very closely.
