We love still life photography. The art of capturing the energy of an inanimate object is something not many photographers can accomplish but when they succeed, beautiful photographs are produced that tell magnificent stories.
Victoria Ling is currently the queen of still life photography. Her photographs capture objects in the simplest light using strong contrasts, patterns and textures to embellish each detail and make seem more exciting than we ever thought possible.
Stylish compositions and stunning light play large parts in Ling’s photography and they provide the elegant elements that compliment her subjects. The compositions assist in the overall presentation and make for an elegant photograph that would otherwise seem simple and dry.
The lighting used in each image emphasizes the bold colours each object possesses, turning the saturation up tenfold whilst also keeping it balanced with it’s background.
The London-based photographer has learnt to own her craft by experimenting and exploring new ways to capture her subjects in the most interesting way possible. Her accomplishments have shot her name across the globe and created wonderful opportunities for her in a variety of global publications.
