The combination of the creative minds of Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen is best described through their own words, as an “uncanny twist on universal forms.”

This intersection of art and design is manifested through the creation of beautiful and delicate furniture by Hannes, which is then photographed by Fien. Life becomes art, art becomes furniture, and the whole world becomes a spectator.

The lines of the beautifully crafted tables, chairs and shelves are clean cut, and whilst it’s easy to see the functionality in the object, the object remains as a piece of art, an entire purpose spun from a simple clean line. The delicacy and care through which Fien photographs Hannes’ creations adds an extra element of personality to the work. The two become intertwined; their work becomes a conversation between them. Hannes’ furniture exists using block colours, minimal line work, and delicate looking, but strong materials.
