EXCLUSIVE: KLOKE SS 14/15
As Australia reaches it’s last few weeks of winter, partners Amy and Adam Coombes , the duo behind Kloke, have enhanced our appetite for summer even more with their 'Deep Dive' SS14/15 collection.
And we have the exclusive first look for you.
The collection has drawn inspiration from the “frogmen” who would scuba dive below the ocean to tactically hide from their enemies during war efforts. And it was one particular “frogmen” incident that inspired Kloke to create a hidden pattern used throughout the collection, which they have fittingly called 'Snake In The Grass'.
'Snake In the Grass' is used mainly on the garments that are made from high-grade Japanese cotton and lightweight denim. The pattern represents unexpected happenings and is used in the collection as a hidden detail that can only be seen by the garment wearer. The sheer fabrics, loose cotton and quilted pieces all lack this embellishment but also have a strong tie to its emotive inspiration.
Each piece defines the 'Deep Dive' collection in it’s own way. With mostly whites, navy blues and greys being used in the collection, with the exception of a bold blue that directly represents the water in which the frogmen hid, we see the collection delve deep into it’s roots whist also presenting it’s wearers with loose-fitting clothing that are both simple and elegant.
The 'Deep Dive' SS14/15 collection by Kloke is yet another grand addition to the already ground-breaking label that provide unique pieces of women’s and men’s fashion and will no doubt be worn, seen, and envied everywhere during the upcoming seasons.
