London-based label J JS Lee has a very direct vision; “creating a label which defines a modern woman who is concerned with looking sharp in a uniquely feminine way.” This vision is the core of Jackie JS Lee and has driven the label to produce sleek collections that define the modern woman each season.

The label’s founder, Jackie JS Lee, seems to have a very particular way of styling her pieces. From her university beginnings to her current collection, you can see the precision in each item of clothing as it sits so comfortably on the models body, tailored to her specific body frame.
This meticulousness stems from her idea of creating sleek, neutral pieces tailored to the wearer’s exact needs.

JS Lee has had this idea since she began her studies at Central Saint Martins in 2007. The designer studied a post-graduate pattern course and began honing her craft from then on. After graduating, JS Lee worked as a pattern cutter before returning to Central Saint Martins to study her MA degree, something that has become extremely invaluable to her work.

In 2010 her MA Graduation Collection caught much attention with its monochrome colouring, simplistic cuts and modern femininity. These elements have carried on throughout her work including in her latest SS 2014 collection where you see tailoring working well with soft pastels, dark navies, blacks and whites, whilst the minimalist shapes and patterns remain.
