NICOLAS POLLI
What is with European photographers and floating fruit lately? First Linus Lohoff then Sarah Illenberger , now Switzerland’s own Nicolas Polli... I think it’s safe to say that photographers overseas are getting their daily dose of potassium and vitamin C. It seems pastels and produce are currently trending, and I’m hungry to see more.
Magician or photographer, that is the question. Polli's levitating creations are either the product of photoshop rendering or some sort of sorcery. I’ve used the term “recontextualised realities” before, but Polli’s photographs are something more; they’re just too cool to be real. Why do I find a red raincoat submerged in shrubbery so fascinating?
Check out more of Nicolas Polli's work via his Flickr; a body of work so diverse it makes floating yellow paper seem natural.
