Polish photographer Kasia Bielska has probably one of the most intriguing portfolios you’ll see in a long time. With intricate photographs that are bold and honest, Bielska has created pictures that can transport you between several different worlds.

Whist being based in Cracow, Bielska began photography roughly four years ago before taking a large break to study at film school in Lodz. This new learning experience had an impact on her photography and has seen her return with her ‘Three Colors – RED’ series. Bielska created a character for her model to delve into so that she was able to create a new world around that character.

On ‘Three Colors – RED’ Bielska explains that: “Three Colors – RED is the story of a creature that transcends to another dimension by means of an unreal space and color.” The entire series was based around this creature and a graphic vision she had of two colours, black and white. Soon, interiors for the shoot led Bielska to add red into the mix and the resulting photographs present the most unique creature inside a sterile, primary world.

Beilska’s work since then has fallen into very similar territories. Strong colour palettes and barren sets assist Kasia Beilska in creating wonderful works that transport you into a variety of worlds where each model has a specific personality reaching out from the photographs.
