Although you may not have known it, Thomas Lohr has been in every magazine enthusiasts life for many, many years. The German-born photographer began taking photographs as a way to keep him self occupied during the day whilst he worked in a bar at night. Lohr has since become one of the most in demand fashion photographers as his sleek photographs highlight not only the clothing, but also the stunning architecture surrounding it.
Lohr has said that his love of architecture and contemporary dance strongly influence his photographs. The architecture creates a wonderful backdrop for each shoot and dance takes hold in his artful compositions, showing the model in a very strong yet minimal space.
