Designing duo David Mamie and Nicola Todeschini partnered in 2009, and have since collaborated on many projects, including these promotional posters for production company Le KAB de L’Usine, which helped score them a Swiss Federal Design Award last year. Their work is simplistic yet striking; redolent of 1960’s Minimalism. Minimalism sought to remove all non-essential forms and features in art and design in an attempt to expose a subjects essence, as does contemporary graphic design (trends). We’ve seen a return of reduction and a switch to simplified design; as is Todeschini-Mamie’s work - clean, direct and to the point. Need I say more?
