BEN SANDLER
Welcome to Pheonix, the Vally of the Sun. The year is 2010 and photographer Ben Sandler captures the stylistically homely suburban culture of the Arizonan state capital. Welcome to the desert city.

Sander studied Philosophy (including Metaphysics, Logic, Aesthetics, and Language) in 2007, preceding Photography at the Gobelins School of the Image (2010). Subsequently, the blend of both degrees has inspired Sandler’s interest in the crossroads of art, science, and design, and the representation of reality.

“Welcome to Pheonix, where businesses know more homeowners, more customers but remain open for banks to come to life again in vain to glean some idea of profits. When the man reluctantly abandons his work, leaving behind him his shadow and footprint of fullness and frugality lost”. Welcome to (in) Limbo.
